District Families,

We realize many of our students’ families may be facing hardships due to the government shutdown. There is nothing more important to us than the continued welfare of our students, so we wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to these families to let you know about ways in which the Republic School District would like to help.

If you have a member of your family who is furloughed or currently working for the federal government without pay, your family may be eligible for meal benefits. Please CLICK HERE to complete the applicable form and return it to school. If you need assistance completing the form, please reach out to our Food Service Department at 417.735.3753.

The change in any meal service status could also impact the rate of your STRIPES 360 payment or Republic Early Childhood payment. Please contact those services directly if you'd like to review options.

We also are supported by Care to Learn and Tiger Totes at all grade levels. Please contact your child’s school nurse or counselor if your family is experiencing health, hunger or hygiene insecurities. Our team can assist in working with these agencies to address these needs.

Please be sure to visit the Community Bulletin Board page on our website HERE where we have several community and area organizations listed which may be able to meet your needs as well.
Sincerely,

Josey McPhail
Director of Communications
Republic School District
