Airport Service Attendant / Concierge
What are your day-to-day job duties at the airport?
I welcome our visitors and assist them with rental cars, hotel reservations, and other needs and recommendations. I also help our local pilots with fuel requests and hangar rental payments. I help Joel and John with clerical duties, answer the phone, and pretty much try to be useful wherever needed.
Why did you decide to work at the Lee's Summit Municipal Airport?

It was the perfect fit! The majority of my career has been in the corporate travel industry. In my most recent position, I had the opportunity to work with other private airports when scheduling rental cars and accommodations for travelers who were arriving on corporate jets. I'm able to take those experiences and use them to ensure that visitors to LXT have a seamless and easy arrival.
What do you like most about your job?
All of it! Every day is an adventure around here and no two days are the same. I have fun and dedicated co-workers. Our based clientele is wonderful and our visitors are enthusiastic about the latest airport improvements.
Do you have a pilot's license? If not, do you plan to attain one?
No and no. Too much math! I'm content to be a happy passenger.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy cooking (and eating!), trying new foods, hanging out with the family and traveling. My husband and I have been married 22 years and have a 15 year-old special needs son, a 14 year-old daughter, and a 6 year-old Boxer who thinks she's human. They keep me busy and make me happy!
