JANUARY 2019
We're just two weeks in, but 2019 is bounding along like a puppy after a runaway ball! Turning over a new year can be cause for celebration or even trepidation, but around here, where the turnover of pets rarely (if ever) ceases, it's a moving target that's hard to mark. Shout hooray, wave goodbye and get moving! Already, 28 new dogs and cats have been rescued since New Year's Day, and we're working like crazy to get them prepped and ready for adoption. Which will then make room for more...

Check out last year's adoption success below. We're counting on your help to top it! Whatever the year brings, know that your part in saving lives--both of animals and the people who need them--is valued and necessary. Here's to a new year full of compassion, companionship, and collaboration!
Ooh La La! It's Almost Here...

Future Building
What does 2019 have in store for you and your pets? The start of a new year is a great time to review and update your estate plans to see whether they still accomplish what you want from them. Use our handy checklist to help you get started. While you're planning, consider including Valley Humane Society in your will or trust to ensure homeless dogs and cats have a hopeful future.
A Year to Celebrate
2018 was a stellar year for local dogs and cats. Our goal at Valley Humane Society was to adopt out 600 animals for the year, a modest but sustainable 3% increase over the year before. In the end, we adopted out 630 animals...nearly 3 times more than we hoped for! Thank you to everyone who supported that work, by adoption or donation of time or money. Your involvement saved lives!
