Diversity Reading Series Continues
On Thursday, May 3, at 3:30 p.m., join us for a reading of "Still A Family" by Brenda Reeves Sturgis, the next book in the Understanding Diversity and Inclusion through Children's Literature series. The event will be held at Maple Avenue School, located at 210 Maple Ave. in Claremont, and will be free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Learn How to Crochet
Learn How to Crochet on Saturday, May 5, from 1 to 2 p.m. at TLC Family Resource Center. The free class open to those 11 years and older, all genders, and skill levels. No experience is needed. Learn how to do a basic crochet stitch and start a small project. Please bring a crochet hook (size H/7 is recommended). A limited number will be available to buy for $1. "It's Criminal" Screening on May 10
Join us for a free screening of "It's Criminal" followed by a panel discussion on Thursday, May 10 at 6 p.m. at Stevens High School in Claremont. Please use the event entrance. The film is a transformational movie that delves into privilege, poverty, and injustice, and asks viewers to think about who is in prison and why. Co-sponsored by System of Care-FAST Forward, Turning Points Network, TLC Family Resource Center, and Quaker City Unity Friends Meeting. For more information about the film, click here.
Advocacy for Kids Training on May 19
Rural PRIDE Looking for Vendors
Rural Outright, a program for LGBTQ+ youth and their families and allies, is planning the first Rural PRIDE event in Claremont to be held on Saturday, June 16, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Visitor's Green. The event is free. They're looking for vendors and entertainers. Information about confirmed vendors and entertainers will be updated soon. To find out more and how to participate, visit here.
Conference on Pre-K and Charter Schools
The League of Women Voters NH invites you to a Conference on Pre-Kindergarten Education and Charter Schools on Saturday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The conference will be held at the Hopkinton Town Library Community Room, located at 61 Houston Dr. in Contoocook. Advance registration is required. We are limited to 60 participants. 

This event is for League members and their invited guests, including school board members and legislators. Register now via email to [email protected]. Include your name, town, if you are a League member, if you are affiliated with any other relevant organization. Payment of $15 to cover lunch and expenses is payable at the door (cash or check only).
Peer Recovery Support Groups and Recovery Coaching
The Center for Recovery Resources will be offering limited services as they continue to reorganize. Topic Discussion Peer Support Groups are held Tuesday to Friday, from 1 to 2 p.m. Walk-in Recovery Coaching is available Tuesday to Friday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Both are held at 169 Main St. in Claremont (the former home of HOPE for NH Recovery).
