This year's cohort represents ALI's largest number of international fellows - 19, the largest number of female fellows - 20, and the greatest numbers of expressions of interest, with candidates from 35 U.S. states and 102 countries vying to be members of the program.
Fellows News

Christy Wood (2018) is being recognized for her impact on corporate governance. The Global Proxy Watch praised Ms. Wood for her work to shepherd a key investor initiative on U.S. firearms.

Tamara Ledley (2017) has been elected an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow. AAAS recognized Dr. Ledley for distinguished contributions to climate education.

Lauren States (2015) is bringing experience and diversity to the boardroom. Directors & Boards named Ms. States as a "director to watch" in a recent article on the importance of racial and ethnic diversity on corporate boards.

Ron Grais (2014) is helping improve the lives of people suffering from serious mental illnesses. Mr. Grais wrote the editor's note for the  Natalia Mental Health Foundation's newsletter, where he serves as a board member alongside its founder,  Eduardo Elejalde (2015).

Carrin Patman (2014) is helping Houston's transit system "move forward." Ms. Patman, Houston METRO Board Chair, unveiled the METRONext Moving Forward Plan - a $7.5 billion plan to address the explosive population growth predicted for the region.

Mark Feinberg (2012) says vaccines are our greatest hope in defeating AIDS, Ebola, TB, and other infectious diseases. Dr. Feinberg recently authored an op-ed explaining that faster development of vaccines could prevent vast suffering around the world.

Faculty News

ALI Faculty Chair Meredith Rosenthal (SPH) will advance the program's mission to prepare experienced leaders taking on new challenges in the social sector. In a recent article, Harvard University Provost Alan Garber announced Prof. Rosenthal's appointment as ALI Faculty Chair.

Rosenthal will work with ALI's Faculty Executive Committee to set the program's strategy, empowering past and present fellows committed to making a social impact and helping shape and contribute to a new movement in higher education.

Members of the faculty executive committee include: Frank Dobbin (FAS), Jim Honan (HGSE), Howard Koh (SPH), and Forest Reinhardt (HBS).
