It is finally this time of year again - beautiful weather, exciting trips and exotic vacations with family and friends.  People feel better, healthier and more involved in outdoor activities.

This seasonal trend may be affecting your practice.  How to sustain and grow your practice during the summer months?  Here are a few helpful tips you may want to consider:
  • Stay in touch with your clients. If you have a newsletter - that's great!
There are many ways to keep your clients posted. Send regular e-mails with information they might find useful and/or engaging. A good example would be a brief article on First aid care, sunburn, insect bites, dehydration and remedy list checklist for travel. Investing an hour of your time into item writing is a great way to stay connected with your clients. You may use these as material for future articles or consider it for publication in relevant homeopathic periodicals.
  • Give brief presentations at local libraries or community halls. This is a great way to promote and grow your homeopathic practice. Keep the topics of your talks simple and focused.
  • Offering summer time promotional discounts is another way to keep clients interested. You can be creative about the kind of promos you may want to offer and structure them in any shape and form you like. Everyone likes great deals, but at the end the gift of health and wellness is about smart planning and investing in what matters the most.
  • In today's fast-paced life people like short and easy to digest bits of information. Recording brief videos is an excellent way to keep clients interested. Video material is easy to share via social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. If utilized well, it can provide high visibility and exposure and ultimately have a positive effect on your practice.
  • Your CCH credentials are an added value. You worked so hard to achieve this milestone. Celebrate it! Share with your clients the value of service provided and received by a certified homeopath.

This is only a short list of helpful suggestions that you may find of good use. There is so much more you can do to keep your clients engaged and grow your practice, not only during the summer months, but year-round.

Don't wait until the last minute. Start planning for the upcoming re-certification cycle.
Annual recertification is required for continued use of the CCH credential.
A minimum of 15 CEUs are required for each recertification.  CEUs in excess of the required 15 will carry over to the next recertification cycle. Excess CEUs may carry over for one year only.

Beginning with the Nov 30, 2018 recertification deadline  (i.e., for CE activities completed between Dec 1, 2017 through Nov 30, 2018), activities such as homeopathic conferences, webinars, seminars, and other, similar homeopathic education-related CE activities  must be approved by ACHENA.

Activities such as teaching need not be done in an accredited program in order to claim CEUs. Documentation is required in the form of a letter from administrator of the education program or a signed sheet from the attendees of the educational event.

The CHC will review your CEU documentation. Upon successful completion of the review, you will receive a new digital certificate along with your good standing letter.

For full list of approved CEUs visit ACHENA's Continuing education page: http://www.achena.org/CE.htm

Registration for the October exam will open on August 6, 2018 and close on September 21, 2018. Testing will begin Monday, October 1, 2018 and end Friday, October 31, 2018.  For more information, please refer to the  Certification Handbook
