CTS Launched as a Ministry of Riverbend
Chris Johnson, one of the voices of Cornerstone Radio and the Youth Pastor at CrossWalk Church of Daytona Beach, speaks (above) to more than 230 banquet-attenders last Friday at the kickoff event for Christ Theological Seminary. Johnson announced his intentions to be one of the seminary's first students when classes begin Aug. 4.
Also on the agenda that evening was Pastor Scott Menez explaining the vision for the seminary and Pastor Brian Shealy outlining practical aspects of how the seminary will operate. It was also announced that the seminary library will be named in honor of former Riverbend Senior Pastor Roy Hargrave, who cast the original vision for CTS several years ago.

All-staff training for the 2018 Riverbend Music Camp is set Sunday, June 3, in Room 184. The two-hour meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. (right after Morning Worship).

Hands of Grace monthly luncheon is Tuesday, April 24 (11:30 a.m.), at the Cracker Barrel restaurant near the church.

Stand in the Gap personal prayer time is slated Friday, April 27, in Fellowship Hall during 4-6 p.m.

Memorial Service
for former Riverbender and long-time Volusia County resident Gene Hale, who died recently at his home in North Carolina, is planned Thursday, May 3, at 1 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. A military honors burial will follow at Volusia Memorial, as well as a reception at the home of Gary & Linda Giovanni.
