The Perkiomen Valley School District Board of Directors will hold a Special Topic Meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school library to continue the discussion about South Elementary School's facility needs. Pennypacker Mills  has been transformed into a Victorian Christmas wonderland!  Getting excited for the upcoming holiday season. You will see The Gilded Age of Christmas throughout the mansion this year, with different 1900 era decorations featured in each area, and original ones on display in the galleries. Without electricity, the gold and shimmer of the glass, metal and tinsel helped add sparkle to this time of year with Dresdens, kugels, paper scrap, cotton batting, pressed and punched tin, blown and spun glass used on decorations on the tree, in the greens and on packages. Open during regular hours starting Tuesday, November 20th through Sunday, January 6, 2019 except Mondays and holidays. Groups of 10 or more should contact the site to arrange a group reservation.Visit the Museum Shop while you are here too for unique toys, games, books, decorations, candy, honey and new this year, beeswax candles.

Community Caring Giveaway

Univest is hosting its seventh annual Caring for Community Giveaway which will award a $5,000 donation to a local, nonprofit organization. Univest is asking the public to determine which local nonprofit deserves financial support.

How the giveaway works:
* Individuals may nominate a local, nonprofit organization by:
o Submitting the name of the nonprofit in the comment section of the post promoting the Caring for Community Giveaway on Univest's Facebook or Instagram.
o Tweeting the name of a nonprofit to @UnivestCorp using #CaringForCommunity
* Each comment or Tweet counts as one entry. An individual may submit one entry per day, per voting method.
* The winning nonprofit will be randomly selected from all entries.
* Entries for the giveaway will be accepted from Saturday, December 1, 2018 through Monday, December 31, 2018. To be eligible, the nonprofit organization must be registered as a 501(c)(3) and must operate within the Greater Philadelphia, Lancaster County or Lehigh Valley areas of Pennsylvania or Cape May County in New Jersey.

Central Perkiomen Youth Association presents Cookies with Santa!  Join us for cookies, hot chocolate and pictures with Santa!  
We encourage families to come for some off-season fun and good food before the holidays. We hope to see you on December 22nd! Tickets are FREE, however, please pre-register so can plan accordingly! Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy invites you to join us for the 14th Annual Pennsylvania Championship Snowshoe Race at Spring Mount Ski Area. This year's event is shaping up to the best ever! We have a great course, a great cause, and a great after-party! 

Registration begins at 7 am. The race begins at 8 am sharp! The Snowshoe 5k is great for pros, newbies, kids, runners and walkers alike. Bring your own snowshoes or rent a pair from us for just $10 (while supplies last). After the race, Boardroom Spirits of Lansdale will be providing hot rum cider for those over 21 (with valid ID) and cider without the punch for those too young to belly up to the bar.

We're hoping for snow so we can send you off on the 5k cross country course. Don't worry though, even if we don't get snow we'll hold the race right on the slopes!

PVSD Seeks Donations From The Community
Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking financial support to build a Viking statue on the Perkiomen Valley High School Campus that will stand as a permanent representation of our school district pride and also mark the district's 50th anniversary . The project costing $85,000 was recently approved by the school board. PV is now seeking funds to raise the money in time for a Spring 2019 dedication.
