The Council meeting of December covered the following:
- Finances continue to be artificially strong because we are not yet paying a Pastor full salary. This will not be the case in 2019.
- A gift of $10,000 was received from an anonymous member of the congregation to be used for maintenance of the Church property. Council voted to charge the Properties Committee with renovating the men's bathroom and completing work in the women's bathroom.
- A New Time Church request was approved for the installation of a monitor, on the wall in the choir loft, for pastors and presenters to be able to see a copy of what is being displayed behind them on the front wall of the sanctuary.
- There is good news on the stair lift; it has been repaired using recycled spare parts and is operating. It will pass state inspection when it is inspected. A $30,000 repair expenditure has been thus avoided.
- There needs to be another trash identification day held in Fellowship Hall in the New Year. There are soiled and spoiled couches to discard and other unnecessary items to be thrown away.
- The Search Committee reported that they will be holding the second interview for the last of the two candidates on December 20.
