Happy New Year!

Christmas Gifts & Bake Sale

Thank you to everyone who provided a holiday goodie for our Bake Sale and all who came to shop.  We hope you found a new holiday favorite or a gift for someone special.

           We made over $ 800
The Council meeting of December covered the following:

1 - Finances continue to be artificially strong because we are not yet paying a Pastor full salary. This will not be the case in 2019.

2 - A gift of $10,000 was received from an anonymous member of the congregation to be used for maintenance of the Church property. Council voted to charge the Properties Committee with renovating the men's bathroom and completing work in the women's bathroom.

3 - A New Time Church request was approved for the installation of a monitor, on the wall in the choir loft, for pastors and presenters to be able to see a copy of what is being displayed behind them on the front wall of the sanctuary.

4 - There is good news on the stair lift; it has been repaired using recycled spare parts and is operating. It will pass state inspection when it is inspected. A $30,000 repair expenditure has been thus avoided.

5 - There needs to be another trash identification day held in Fellowship Hall in the New Year. There are soiled and spoiled couches to discard and other unnecessary items to be thrown away.

6 - The Search Committee reported that they will be holding the second interview for the last of the two candidates on December 20.

Brown Bag Sunday
 January 20th

On the third Sunday of every month, we collect and bless the donations placed inside the bins in the Narthex  of the Church.

Would you please consider picking up a few extra non-perishable food items  while you are doing your grocery shopping?

There are many families in Ashland that rely on the generosity of others to supplement their limited grocery budget.

You may bring them to the Church on Sunday morning or  drop them off at the Church during the week.  All items are delivered to the Ashland Food Pantry.

Thank you for your continued generosity!
