ABOUT JA EVENTS PROGRAMS

Announcing the 2018 Marti Huizenga Roll Up Your Sleeves Award Recipients!

Marti Huizenga left a deep and lasting mark on Junior Achievement of South Florida in so many ways. One way was to encourage others to get involved by volunteering and mentoring our youth.

The Marti Huizenga Roll Up Your Sleeves Awards were created to recognize those who stepped up and as Marti would say, "give our kids a hand up."  We are proud to announce this year's recipients.

This event is by invitation only.

Who Mentored You?
Who Will You Mentor?

Simon Sinek: The Fundamentals of Mentoring Relationships

Have you had someone take the time to help you grow or succeed? How did you feel knowing they invested their precious time in you? Grateful? Special? Most likely your mentor felt the same way about helping you. You can choose to keep that feeling going by paying it forward. You can share your experience and knowledge, as your mentor did, to make a child feel special and to help them grow.

We know that giving up your tim e on a regular basis is very challenging, but  do you have just 5 hours that you can spare to change a life?  We have opportunities for you at JA World! Help students learn about how to manage their money, how to run a business and share your career experience  to inspire them to find their  path. Do it alone or bring a group of friends or colleagues. This experience will prove to be as valuable and memorable for you as it will be for t he children whose lives you touch. There's no time like today to pay it forward!
