Presentation:  San Francisco Night Ministry - Where we came from (from our beginnings in 1964), who we are, and what we do. The San Francisco Night Ministry is an important bridge and steady support for many people as they face the darkness of the night, but not alone. We provide compassionate, non-judgmental pastoral care, care of the soul, counseling, referrals, and crisis intervention to anyone in any kind of distress, every night of the year between the hours of 10:00 pm and 4:00 am.

Presenters: Rev. Thomas Carter  is Night Ministry's new Executive Director and CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) Educator. He is an ordained Baptist Minister and has extensive experience as a project manager and CPE program supervisor in both Sacramento and the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.

Rev. Monique Ortiz is an ordained UCC minister and a former broadcast journalist. She has served for the past decade as an Associate Night Minister and pastor of Open Cathedral. She also currently serves as Pastor of St. Mary and St. Martha Lutheran Church in San Francisco and is a member of the San Francisco Interfaith Council's Board of Directors.

John Cumming currently serves as President of Night Ministry's Governing Board. He's an attorney for the State of California's Department of Industrial Relations and is married to the Rev. Nancy Pennekamp, an ordained Episcopal deacon who is one of Open Cathedral's worship leaders.
