2019 Health and Business Expo - The Westland Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2019 Health and Business Expo on Saturday, March 16 at the Westland Shopping Center located at 36300 Warren Rd. This expo features businesses, health care providers and non-profit organizations and takes place between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. For more information, contact the Chamber at (734)326-7222.

Scheduled Upcoming Civic Meetings - Residents are invited to attend the upcoming City meetings. Below is a list of the meetings with their date, time and location:

Disability Concerns

The monthly Disability Concerns meeting will take place on Monday, March 18 at 5:30 p.m. at Westland City Hall, located at 36300 Warren Rd.

City Council

The Westland City Council will hold a study session on Monday, March 18 at 6:00 p.m. regarding the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Programs current program status as well as proposed Projects for the new fiscal year. The study session will take place at Westland City Hall, located at 36300 Warren Rd.
The regular meeting of the Westland City Council will take place on Monday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Westland City Hall, located at 36300 Warren Rd.

Housing Commission

The Housing Commission will meet on Tuesday, March 19th at 6:30 p.m at the Jefferson Barns Community Vitality Center. The JBCVC is located at 32150 Dorsey St.

Zoning Board of Appeals

The ZBA will hold their regular meeting on Thursday, March 20 at 5:30 p.m. at Westland City Hall located at 36300 Warren Rd.

Blood Pressure Screening - Stop by the Westland Friendship Center for a free blood pressure screening on Wednesday, March 19. Blood Pressure Checks are done on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. by the Westland Fire Department. It's an excellent way to keep track of your blood pressure. Knowing there is a problem is half the battle - so keep on top of these important readings. The Friendship Center is located at 1119 Newburgh Rd.
