Spring 2019 Updates

Greetings!

Another fantastic year shaping up at D Acres! We have been working diligently on a number of projects this winter including re-siding the backside of the red barn, developing an online booking system, building furniture and a farm store as well as scheduling workshops & events for 2019. We have also spent time tending to animals, grant writing and enjoying the epic winter on skis and snowshoes. We are pleased to welcome Alex as a resident and the furry four legged fury known as Rocko have both added joy to the winter.

Breakfast is every Sunday (7:30-11) and dinner by reservation every Saturday night. Breakfast will also be Saturday June- October. We also now offer beer & wine service!!

The best local All-You-Should-Eat breakfast in the world, featuring D Acres meat,eggs, potatoes, squash, greens,and herbal tea; and fair trade coffee from Cafe Monte Alto (Plymouth, NH). as well as pancakes with Brox Farm New Hampshire maple syrup, Enjoy the breakfast and then head out in the woodland trails onsite and at Green Woodlands

Saturday Night Dinner with Reservations

Informal fine dining farm to table experience. Open to the Public with Reservations. We prefer 24 hours advance notification. Let us know any dietary restrictions. Dinner is $15. $3 dessert. Half price for kids under 10 years of age. Menu typically consists of appetizers, soup or salad and main course ( D Acres Pork, rice & beans, vegetables ) 6:30pm Beer & Wine Menu

Last Saturday of the Month Volunteer Day

The staff at D Acres invites the public to join us on the last Saturday of each month from 10am- 4pm for Volunteer Day. Volunteers will work on various projects around the farm including fence building, moving manure, hauling brush, and gardening. Please call to let us know you are coming: (603) 786-2366. Lunch will be provided at 1pm for all volunteers.

Fantastic opportunity for someone who loves to cook! Emphasis on weekend meal service with authentic farm to table ingredients. We are looking for an individual who is an enthusiastic ambassador for fresh, whole foods! Farm Store, Loaner Skis, Bike Skills Area, Online Booking, Bike Wash & a Porta Potty?

Lots of new and exciting developments at D Acres launching in 2019. We are in the midst of constructing a farm store which will be located in a bay of the garage. The farm store will provide a retail space for our woodworking and farm products as well as neighbors producing goods such as soap and lip balm. We will also stock products for the bike crowd such as tubes and patch kits. We are excited to get this long overdue feature open to the public.

For all the recreational visitors we are providing several new features. There are 12 sets of adult loaner skis as well as boots and poles. We also have several kids skis and snowshoes that are available to borrow for free! Come on by and sign them out for the day! In addition we are working to provide all the features for our mountain bike visitors. This season we will be installing a bike wash, additional parking and a skills area. The skills area provides youth and beginners a location to develop their skills before heading deep into the woods.

In addition we have added online booking capacity to our website. We hope this automated feature will save staff time and increase our occupancy.

Will Ferullo Furniture

We are ecstatic that Will Ferullo has spent two years working at D Acres. For those who do not know Will, he is a super man who has filled all the roles at the farm. From tending to the animals to cooking dinner, Will has been a smiling presence for guests and residents. He has provided stability and durable work ethic bridging staff transitions here at D Acres. In addition he is a talented craftsman who is capable of home renovations and furniture making. This winter has been busy creating custom beds and desks.
