The kids had so much fun at last year's Mini Golf fundraiser, that Wilton Library is holding one for adults, complete with food, libations and prizes to win. Teams of foursomes will compete on the 18-hole Mini-Golf Course while friends and fans cheer them on. Putters and balls provided. Tickets are available for foursomes for $300; couples for $150 or singles for $75. Couples and singles will be assigned to foursomes by the library. Spectator tickets are $50 per person. Please join us on Jan. 9 for a screening of the film, STRAWS, an award-winning documentary that illuminates the problems related to straws and other single-use plastic pollution that inundate our waterways and oceans. A brief panel discussion and Q&A session follows with Charlie Taney of the Norwalk River Valley Trail, Nina Quaratella of the North American Marine Environment Protection Association, Bridget Cervero and David Hudson of The Maritime Aquarium. A treasure trove of never-before-seen footage, along with Brett Morgan's masterful direction, tells the story of Jane Goodall's research. This documentary film focuses on Jane's groundbreaking work with chimpanzees in Tanzania. JANE also explores Goodall's relationship with husband and cameraman Hugo Van Lawick, as well as her relationship with the natural world. Suggested donation of $5. Refreshments served. This single session, four-hour course for drivers age 50+ covers the normal changes in vision, hearing and reaction time associated with ageing and provides practical techniques on how to adjust to these changes, along with learning to operate vehicles more safely in today's increasingly challenging driving environment.
