Interact Club and the Southeastern Guide Dogs

Interact Club recently partnered with the Southeastern Guide Dogs to help our community. From February 11th to March 11th the Interact Club made puppy guide dog collars and met the Southeastern Guide Dog’s ambassador, Ben, who is now retired. Cathy Mithaug, who works with the Southeastern Guide Dogs, talked to the students about the importance of the organization. Southeastern Guide Dogs provide fully trained service dogs for people who have disabilities or need emotional support. These dogs are often within the workforce in less then a 3 years. The club watched Pip, an animated film about the purpose of a guide dog, and then got to play with Ben. Overall, Interact had a lot of fun learning about Southeastern Guide Dogs and hope you will check out Pip on Youtube !
