Tracey L. Taylor, DNP, ACNP-BC, RN, RDH , will present  "Climbing the Technological Mountain: An Analytical Approach to Graduate Nursing Education, Practice, and Research"  at  12 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14, in MDN 2002 , as part of the USF College of Nursing's Faculty Applicant Presentation Series. Dr. Taylor is applying for the role of associate dean for the Graduate Program.
 
Dr. Taylor has served the past four years in her current role as assistant dean for Clinical Affairs at the University of South Alabama College of Nursing. In this role, she is responsible for all clinical and regulatory oversight for more than 150 full- and part-time faculty members, as well as 4,000 nursing students.

She began her career in academia in 2005, with a joint appointment to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the School of Nursing, affording her the opportunity to practice as a board-certified ACNP and serve as VUSN clinical faculty.

Additionally, Dr. Taylor has maintained faculty practice as an ACNP in a nurse-driven Health Resources and Services Administration grant-funded urgent care clinic and is presently practicing in the emergency department of an academic level I trauma center.

Dr. Taylor earned her undergraduate degree from Tennessee State University in dental hygiene, before turning her attention to nursing at Vanderbilt.

Her research interests include translational research, quality improvement, transitions of care, and nursing faculty development.
