Masters Watch
Bummed about the Master's being postponed? Never fear. There's plenty of action from Augusta National to be watched this week. The Master's committee has decided to broadcast some of the most memorable rounds from past tournaments.

There are several ways to watch:

Point your browser to www.masters.com to see where/when you should tune in...

Importantly, there is even a Patron's Guide that includes remote watch parties and cocktail recipes to "enhance" your enjoyment. So, make your pimiento cheese sandwiches and Azalea cocktails, and get ready for some quality stay-at-home couch time this week!
"For this game, you need, above all things, to be in a tranquil state of mind.

Until then, be safe ,be healthy and take care of one another. If there is anything I can do to help, please drop me a line or give me a call.

Welcome to issue number 55 of Chip Shots

I hope that all of you are staying healthy and staying home as we navigate the evolving world-wide catastrophe known as COVID-19.

On March 20th, the Stadium Golf Center closed (temporarily) in accordance with the State of California and County/City of San Diego directives.  As the situation develops, and when health officials determine it is safe to do so, we will re-open and get back out there. Of course, we're looking forward to that day as much or more than you are! It's a tough time, but we need to all do our part to stem the exponential rise in cases and keep everyone as safe as possible.

As I'm sure you know, this was to have been Master's week. However, with all the world virtually on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Master's has been rightfully postponed -- with the new dates targeting November 9-14th. Now, if you're like me, watching the Master's can be a relaxing and fun distraction from the troubling times in which we live, so the postponement is a big disappointment. Fortunately, the Master's committee has made a plan to fill the void by broadcasting #mastersrewind each day Thursday-Sunday. It's a collection of classic rounds from past championships not to be missed. If you need a break from your troubles, be sure to check it out. I have included some links/instructions in the Master's Watch section.

Meanwhile, even while we're stuck at home, you can still do your golf game some good. Maintain your mobility and fitness for golf by stretching and walking or exercising safely every chance you get during the lockdown. Check out the links to stretching for golf below.

As always, I'm here to help. Give me a call or drop me an email. I'd like to hear from you.

All my best,
 -Gary Griggs

Maintaining your mobility--Stretching for golf

Here's a couple of links to routines to get you started on a routine you can do at home, and the course (once we get back out there!)

A simple stretching routine easily done daily at home or at the course:

Greg Norman has a comprehensive stretching routine on his site:

Better mobility and fitness means fewer injuries and better swings when we get back out on the course to enjoy this beautiful game of ours.

See you soon,
