More than 340 students will present their research March 23 in a daylong event at the Downing Student Union. The WKU Student Research Conference will showcase scholarly activities of graduate, undergraduate and Gatton Academy students in all disciplines. All student projects are mentored by WKU faculty and staff members.
The event will showcase 285 research and creative projects -- 160 posters and exhibits and 135 oral presentations.

Dr. Johanna Kovarik
on
Lights in the Darkness: Stories from the Underground
at 10 a.m. in the Downing Student Union, room 3020. Dr. Kovarik, who has served for the past seven years as the National Cave and Karst Program Lead for the U.S. Forest Service, earned her master’s in Geoscience at WKU.

by C. Edward Watson of American Association of Colleges and Universities at 4 p.m. Monday (March 18) at Gary Ransdell Hall Auditorium.
Gatton Academy Research Showcase and WKU Faculty/Staff Appreciation Event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday (March 21) at Florence Schneider Hall, room 204.
