Continuous Enrollment and Deposits for Next School Year

Per Heilicher's Continuous Enrollment policy, current students will be automatically re-enrolled for the following school year until they graduate. A Continuous Enrollment deposit of $600 per student reserves a place for your currently-enrolled student on the appropriate 2019-2020 grade-level class roster and will be applied toward 2019-2020 tuition.

The deposit will be automatically withdrawn from your Heilicher account on file on February 15, unless you opt for a deposit installment plan or you notify the Dean of Student and Family Affairs Julie Ziessman in writing of your intention to withdraw enrollment.

To pay the deposit in installments, fill out this form by February 1.

Please refer to the Continuous Enrollment FAQ if you have questions. The Finance Office also welcomes your inquiries.

MLK Day Observance

Heilicher proudly convenes on MLK Day ( Monday, January 21) to study the life and impact of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This year our theme is civil rights through the lens of how people in the United States got the right to vote. We're adding a parent-specific program in the morning and some other options for parents to participate in during the day.

Join us for MLK Day events:

6:30 a.m.: Drop off eighth-graders at Heilicher for field trip to MLK Annual Breakfast*.

7:30-8:45 a.m.: Heilicher Family Breakfast (complimentary, sponsored by the PTO).
Students head to classrooms at 8 a.m.

8-9 a.m.: Pastor Lawrence T. Richardson, speaking with parents on being Black in Minnesota
This will overlap with the service project. You are welcome to join the service project in progress.

8:30-9:30 a.m.: Heilicher Family Service Project in the Manny Fingerhut Auditorium, preparing packages for PRISM food shelf in partnership with Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis (JFCS).

2:45-3:15 p.m.: The school community will end our day listening to MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech and the choir will also sing. Parents and guests are welcome to attend.

You can help us collect supplies for the MLK service project by purchasing one of the items shown here. We will need these items by or before January 10. All items can be delivered to Ryan Bradley's office (Room M25).

*Special message for eighth-grade families: This year, eighth-grade students will attend the MLK Annual Breakfast, sponsored by The General Mills Foundation and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), on January 21. Students will depart by bus from Heilicher at 6:45 a.m. for The Armory in downtown Minneapolis (500 S 6th St.). Since permission slips have already been signed, no additional forms are needed. Please have your children here by 6:30 a.m. so we can leave on time. We should be back at school by 10 a.m. to participate in more learning and activities. Additional details will be sent via email on Monday, January 7.

Sixth Grade Families: Tu B'shevat Gala and Presentation of Learning

Join us on Sunday, January 20 at 5:30- 7:30 p.m. in the Manny Fingerhut Auditorium as the sixth graders share their learning about middot (Jewish values) and how they pertain to the celebration of Tu B'Shevat (the New Year of the Trees). We will share an elaborate festive meal that includes the seven biblical species of Israel (These seven species were the staple foods consumed by the Jewish people in the land of Israel during biblical times).
