Please check your PUSD email next week regarding a notice from Mr. Bull and course selections for next year. The notice will encourage all families to review student's course requests for next school year and allow you to make any changes by March 22nd by completing and submitting a hard copy of the form provided to the FHS Registrar's office.
Foothill/Amador Spring Musical: Cinderella
Falcons, Dons, students and teachers are coming together to make Broadway magic! For the 25th year both high schools are coming together to present a Broadway take on Cinderella . The musical opens on March 8 and runs through March 17 at the Firehouse Arts Center. Click here to enjoy this piece of Broadway!
Is your child addicted to social media? Are you?
Foothill parents are invited to attend a screening of " Like" on Wednesday, March 13 at 7pm in the Foothill MPR .
" Like" was created to explore the impact of social media on our lives and the effects of technology on the brain. The filmmakers believe there is power, empathy, and self-reflection in watching as a community. Watching together can spark change, help us understand our habits, and give us permission to talk about important issues. AVHS/FHS We the People Teams Fundraiser Dinner
Join us on Sunday, March 17th  at 5:30 - 7:30pm for the AVHS/FHS We the People Teams Fundraiser Dinner in the Amador MPR. The dinner will benefit BOTH Pleasanton teams! We are very lucky to have a special guest speaker U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell joining us.

Pleasanton Run for Education - April 14th, 2019
At 7:50 a.m. on April 14th, 2019 the PPIE 15 and 10K Runs will commence! At 8:00 the PPIE 5K Run will commence! People from all over Pleasanton will participate. Be one of those people and register for the PPIE run on April 14th, 2019 via this link today. Register on or before March 11 th , 2019 to get the Early Bird Discount and save.

Volunteer as an Outdoor Ed Counselor
Attention Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors! Do you love working with kids? Do you love spending time out in nature? Consider volunteering as an Outdoor Ed Counselor and join us for a week of fun in the redwood forest, at the beach, a tide pool and
more! Develop and sharpen leadership skills! Earn up to 100 community service hours! Receive a reference letter for college, internship and job applications! Be a hero to a 5th or 6th grader.

Disability Resource Center (DRC) Open House at Las Positas College
Tuesday, March 5, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM   in Room 1620 in the cafeteria. Attendees will learn about the services and accommodations that are offered for eligible students with disabilities, what steps and documentation are required to be part of the Disability Resource Center, and about the differences between high school IEPs/504s and a community college Academic Accommodation Plan (AAP). Following the presentation, DRC staff and counselors will be available to answer specific follow up questions, to give center tours, and to demo some of the alternative media technology resources that our students are able to use.

Computer Classes  (starts 2/5 & 4/9) - Advance your skills in MS Word, MS Office and Keyboarding & Typing. 
Learn Conversational Italian  (starts 2/5 & 3/12) - Attend one of these beginner level classes to learn conversational Italian. 
Learn Conversational Mandarin  (starts 2/19 & 4/9) - These beginner level conversational Mandarin classes will cover basic phrases, reading and writing simple words, and exploring Chinese culture.
Learn Conversational Spanish  (starts 2/21 & 4/11) - These beginner level conversational Spanish classes will increase your confidence in participating in simple to more complex conversations.  
Successful Couples  (starts 3/4) - Ideal for newly engaged couples and those in their first few years of a committed relationship or marriage. Our two instructors will help you learn what makes a committed relationship work, tools for building intimacy, and conflict resolution skills.

Wheel Thrown Pottery  (starts 3/6 & 4/10) - Join us for a 4 week session, where we can leave our life stresses behind and enjoy the engaging medium of clay and a fully tactile experience in learning the potter's wheel.
Figure Drawing From the Live Model  (starts 3/7) -    For all skill levels, this is a chance to paint or draw from the professional artists model.
Spring Inspired Cooking  (starts 3/8) - Let the flavors, aromas, and produce of spring inspire you. Make spring vegetable minestrone, roast spring lamb with potatoes, and strawberries and cream mille feuille for dessert.
Easter Sweets  (starts 3/29) - Enjoy Easter celebrations baking and tasting traditional sweets from around the world. Travel to the UK to make hot cross buns, stop in Spain to make torrijas, and end in Greece learning to make their famous kourabiedes.
Feria De Sevilla Inspired Cooking  (starts 4/12) - In this Spanish inspired cooking class you will learn to make gazacho, paella, and churros with chocolate sauce.

Local Scholarships for Graduating Seniors
Amador Valley Scholarships , Inc. offers scholarships to graduating seniors from Foothill, Village and Amador High Schools who plan to attend community college, vocational/technical schools, 4 year colleges/universities. Students fill out one (1) application and will be considered for eleven (11) scholarships.

Tri-Valley Retired Educators are pleased to offer scholarships to students planning to pursue a career in education. Application deadline is March 22nd. Click here for details.
Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare Auxiliary Scholarship 
Available to seniors with a 3.0 GPA or better, planning to enter a medical field of study. Completed applications are due no later than March 23. Click here for details.
The Ryan Comer Scholarship
Open to any Pleasanton student who plans to attend a

Rotary Club of Pleasanton
Are you planning to continue your education beyond high school? This year the Rotary Club of Pleasanton is able to provide $30,000 in scholarships! Scholarships range from $250 - $6,000. Main criteria for selection is financial need. Must be a graduating senior from a Pleasanton high school or a graduating home-schooled Pleasanton resident. Must plan to attend a full-time at a community or 4-yr college, vocational, or trade school. Applications available at www.pleasantonrotary.org. Deadline is March 31, 2019.
*Dependents of Rotarians are NOT eligible.
The Nissen/Hansen Scholarship
Open to young women (seniors) who have attended Livermore, Granada, Amador Valley, Foothill, or Dublin High School for the past two years and who intend to further their education by attending college in the Fall of 2019. Due April 5th. Click here for scholarship application and details.
Pleasanton Police Officers' Foundation
Members of the Pleasanton Police Officers' Charitable Foundation will recognize graduating seniors by presenting each with a financial award to assist with educational expense at the college of their choice. Due April 5th.
FAB Senior Scholarships
Each spring, the Foothill Athletic Boosters (FAB) awards two (2) $1,000 scholarships and two (2) $1,500 scholarship with an academic component (min 3.75 GPA) to graduating senior student-athletes who can best articulate how their experience as a Falcon athlete has prepared them to make a positive impact in this world. Foothill PTSA Scholarships
Several $500 scholarships will be offered to students who have demonstrated exceptional work to enrich their school and/or community. Open to any Foothill High School senior with a minimum 2.0 GPA, who will attend an accredited 4-year university/college, or a 2-year community college or trade/technical school in the fall semester/quarter following graduation. Bay East Association of Realtors Foundation Scholarships

 Seniors Community Service Hours Due 3/1
All seniors must complete their 20 hours of community service in order to graduate. The deadline for submission in the Class of 2019 Google classroom online (all seniors have been invited) is March 1 . Community service from any year in high school counts. If student are not sure if they have uploaded community service proof, check the Google classroom. If a 1/1 shows as graded, they are done. We are also still looking for corporate sponsors for our Safe and Sober Grad Nite  (optional, non-PUSD-sponsored event) It is going to be a fabulous event, but we need financial help to get us there!  (sponsor letter attached)
