Maryland Arts Day Scholarship Deadline

Maryland Arts Day is the largest annual gathering of arts professionals in Maryland. With more than 500 participants, representing every county in the state and Baltimore City, this statewide arts advocacy event connects artists, educators, administrators, volunteers and trustees with lawmakers from every legislative district in Maryland. Maryland Arts Day needs your participation to show strong support for the arts in Maryland and the impact they have on the economic and cultural vitality of the state.

The Crisfield Arts & Entertainment District Project is offering two scholarships to cover the $25 registration fee and $50 for travel expenses. If you would like to apply, please send a paragraph about why you would like to attend Maryland Arts Day to arts@crisfieldcityhall.com

Logo Contest Deadline

A competition for a new logo for the Crisfield Arts & Entertainment District. This logo will be included in the new billboards to be placed on Route 13. Any entries should be submitted to
arts@crisfieldcityhall.com
by Jan 31, 2019 and must be at least one foot by one foot with a 600 dpi resolution. Logos should also reflect the heritage of Crisfield. Entries must include the name, phone number, address, and email address of the artist.
The artist of the chosen logo will be awarded $500. Entry forms at cirsfieldarts.org
Woodworking: Decoy Carving Like The Old Masters (A Road Scholar Program)
February 3-8, 2019
Join Rich Smoker, Ward Foundation World Champion, as he conducts a hands-on, decoy-carving seminar. Starting from a block of wood and using only hand tools, learn to carve, paint and finish your own bird. The class is geared to all skill levels and provides individualized instruction to every participant. For more info, visit

Learn how to use this FREE resource to create a social media campaign for a strong 2019 season for the new Crisfield Arts & Entertainment (A & E) District for events and shops & restaurants.
Attendees do not need to be located in the A & E, only interested in promoting it. The A & E budget for advertising will be limited to promoting shops, restaurants, & events within the A & E boundary.
