We're celebrating Creation Care this Sunday
The St. Francis Green Guild is doing its part to take care of the Earth. One way is selling reusable, insulated bags. The popular bags are red with the church logo in black and will be available for purchase Sunday in the Reception area. The bags are $8 each, or 2 for $15. This is a fundraiser as the Guild continues working on Creation Care and energy efficiency at St. Luke’s. Proceeds go toward LED lights for the sanctuary. You may also purchase online.

The Weekly Bible Study gathers this Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Parkins Room. During Easter we’re studying the book of Ruth, an idealized story of what life would look like if God’s people treated each other with His loving-kindness—insiders and outsiders alike. A key understanding in Ruth is that God uses these acts of the loving-kindness of people to demonstrate that which God gives to all, whether they realize it or not. All are welcome!

Join us on Saturday, May 12 to explore the Grant Park neighborhood around the newly-purchased Beltline right-of-way between Glenwood and Boulevard. The 3-mile trek takes us near the actual path, featuring a lot of the old Grant Park homes, as well as the redevelopment in the area. Gather at the Willson’s home (541 St. Charles Avenue) for a 10 a.m. carpool departure to the starting point. An email will be sent beforehand with a starting point in case that’s more convenient for some. Sojourner reservation required by Sunday, May 6. Coordinators: Susan and Bill Willson.
