Mission: The specific purposes of this Corporation are to promote the social welfare and economic development of the cities of Rockford, Greenfield and surrounding areas, through the support of initiatives for job creation and business development, including the expansion and retention of existing businesses, attraction of new businesses, community research, public information and education, facilitation of communication and development between government and area businesses and to assist local government leaders and community development programs to foster economic growth and provide leadership training.

At September lunch meeting we hosted meet the candidates which was a great informative meeting and gets you to hear from the candidates and what their vision is. Please remember to get out and vote on November 6, every person’s vote matters. Hope to see you at our next lunch meeting November 8 which is a joint meeting with WCEDP.

Please be on the lookout for our Crow River Christmas flyer that will be in your mailbox this month. The event is Saturday December 1. This is always an exciting event for the whole family so please come out for the fun.

West Hennepin Auto & Tire will be the newest member of the
Rockford/Greenfield Community. Watch for our "NOW OPEN" signs on the new
building between Tractor Supply and the Holiday Station Store. We will be open
in the new location bright and early Monday, November 5, 2018 .

We look forward to serving our current customers and meeting new customers
for all of their automotive and light duty truck repairs and maintenance in our
new location.

We have been serving the West Metro area going on 30 years and would like to
continue another 30 years in our new location.

The Greenrock Deli is currently for sale to any interested persons looking to have a turn-key Sandwich, Soup, Pastry and Coffee Shop.

In addition to all furnishings, equipment and an easy to use new touch screen Point Of Sale system, training on the use of the equipment and operational needs with recipes for a few key menu items is available. The opportunity to create a wide range of sandwiches and soups, salads and hot/cold beverages makes this a fun place to operate. The regular and new customers that enter the doors keep it interesting. Catering to local businesses and groups makes it a versatile as you can imagine.

BOARD OF DIRECTOR'S ELECTION - who's your nominee?

Rockford-Greenfield Area Chamber Members,
At our October Board of Director’s meeting, it was announced that our annual election will take place Thursday, January 10, and a call was made for nominations.
 
Two (2) three-year positions, one held presently by the following individuals, are up for election:
  • Lisa Rasmussen, The Hair Gallery (unable to re-run)
  • OPEN

NOMINATIONS/ELECTION : Nominations may be submitted in writing (via e-mail [email protected] ) to the office of the executive director  no later than the end of the business day   Friday, December 28, 2018 .

A final call for nominations will be made from the floor at the  Monthly Luncheon Meeting on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at which time the election will take place. If the number of nominated candidates equals 2 for the 2 positions, all candidates shall be declared elected by the board of directors at the regular January meeting of the general membership. If the number of nominated candidates exceeds 2, each voting member present at the January meeting shall be instructed to vote and the top vote nominees will be declared elected by the Secretary of the Rockford-Greenfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
