Latin Class Achieves Honors

All five students in eighth grade Latin earned honors on their National Latin Tests. Two students received maxima cum laude honors, one student received a magna cum laude honors, and two students received cum laude honors. Congratulations, Latin pupils!

Junior-Senior European Study Trip
Details were distributed  Friday  for next year's Jr./Sr. European study tour. In what will be the sixth LPA capstone trip, the previous UK and Italy trips are combined in one, three country trip that includes 
Paris.





Donation Opportunity
For anyone who has an old wooden ladder taking up space, Lake Pointe is looking for two to four wooden ladders to be donated to the school for a display.

Lost and Found
Student may no longer need their coats on the playground, but there are still plenty of jackets keeping the lost and found warm. Be sure to stop in Lake Pointe to look for your family's missing items.

Book on Trial
Mrs. Williams' junior English class put literature on trial Monday! Students adopted courtroom roles to pursue truth and perspective related to events in the American novel, A Separate Peace. 





To-Scale Solar System
The second grade science class show the
relative  distance of the planets and dwarf planets from the sun using toilet paper squares. They learned that if the Earth is 2.5 squares away from the sun, Pluto is 100 
squares away from the sun!








Animal Sorting
Fourth graders study animal classification in science class. During a lab, students arrange animals into their groups.

Heading into Play-offs
Lake Pointe's golf team and ladies' soccer team have one more full week of matches before play-offs.
The golf team remains undefeated and will play one more regular season match left in their season.
The lady Mariners will play their last home game Monday, April 23 at 4:00 p.m. During the game, the team will honor their senior players; fans, come out to help the players celebrate our four senior soccer players!
