March 15th, 2019

This Sunday is Week 2 of The Waiting Room. Waiting for God's timing isn't easy. We find ourselves drowning in doubt, questioning God's character or our own understanding. How long do we wait? What if our circumstances change even more? Did God change His mind? Waiting is hard, but we're not alone. Join us this weekend as we look to scripture to see how others in the Bible have waited for God's timing and how He used their time in the waiting room to demonstrate His unfailing love and character.

Pastor Trevor will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services. Dr. Bill Bouknight will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

If you know someone who needs to be encouraged as they wait on God's timing, please invite them to come worship and grow with us this Sunday. No one needs to wait alone.

Food Drive

Mission Lexington, formerly called LICS, provides life essential resources and guidance to our Lexington County neighbors in moments of crisis. They meet over 30,000 needs each year ranging from helping an elderly couple with food to funeral expenses for a child. After many years of partnering in ministry, we believe in the vision and effective work of Mission Lexington.

This month we have the opportunity to support this local partner by participating in a food drive to re stock their food pantry shelves.

As you exit today, you will receive an empty bag and a list of needed non-perishable food items to purchase. The Mission Lexington truck will be on site ready to collect your donated  items NEXT Sunday, the 24th. The truck will be parked in the breezeway between the East and West campus buildings.

To learn more about Mission Lexington  and other ways to get involved, stop by the table in the Missions and Outreach center of the West building to meet their staff.
