His Excellency Anatoly Ivanovich Antonov

was born on May 15, 1955, in Omsk, a city in southwestern Siberia. He earned a B.A. and an M.A. in International Relations at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1978 and 1983, respectively. Later, in 2012, Antonov earned a Ph.D. in Political Science at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations in Moscow.

Antonov began his diplomatic career in 1978, spending the next 33 years at the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its successor, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Antonov is fluent in English and Burmese.

Tatarstan is one of the most dynamically developing regions of Russia. Tatarstan ranked number 1 in Russia's national rating for doing business in 2015, 2016 and 2017, it is on the 7th place within Russian regions in GDP, on the 4th place in Investments, on the 5th place in Industrial production, on the 6th place in Construction and on the 3rd place in Agriculture. More than 36 million metric tonnes of crude oil was produced in 2018.

Tatarstan is the only one region of Russia which has two Special Economic Zones with the numbers of federal and regional incentives: the biggest and most efficient SEZ in Russia «Alabuga» for industrial production and SEZ «Innopolis» for high technology. The establishment of the third Federal SEZ «Sviyaga» for transportation and logistics is under consideration. 

Such US-based industrial companies as Ford, 3M, General Electric, Cummins, Medtronic, Federal Mogul, Armstrong, Univation Technologies, East Balt, Cisco, Ecolab, EControls and number of companies operating in advisory service, hospitality sector, in education and IT sector successfully doing business in Tatarstan. Since 2015 another two companies from the US have become the industrial residents of Tatarstan - Allied Mineral Products (Ohio) and Advenira Enterprises (California).

Tatarstan is the only region of Russia which has a permanently acting Trade representation in the USA, based in Washington, DC. 

Rustam Minnikhanov graduated from Kazan Agricultural Institute in 1978 as mechanical engineer and from Correspondence Institute of Soviet Trade (Moscow) as a commodity expert in 1986. He is a doctor of economic sciences. Full bio is available   here.

Mr. Hogan has more than thirty-six years of Operations and Executive experience. His career started in Kingsville, Texas where he spent sixteen years with Exxon Company International in various supervisory roles. 
He then worked two years with ENI/Agip Petroleum as Operations Manager and VP of Well Operations, nine years with Devon Energy Corporation as the International Operations Manager and VP of International Well Engineering, and one year with HRT America as Vice President of Drilling. 

As one of the founding Executives of PanAtlantic Exploration Company, Mr. Hogan originally served as Sr. Vice President - Operations with responsibility for global drilling, completion and production activity, HS&E, contracts / procurement and operations geology.  In March 2016, Mr. Hogan was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in addition to assuming the responsibilities of President and Chief Executive Officer. 

In April 2017, Mr. Hogan became General Manager and CEO of Lukoil International Upstream West in Houston, Texas. He has worked on six of seven continents in countries including Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Chad, Ghana, Malaysia, Thailand and Trinidad.

Oilandgas360.com, March 13, 2019: Energy services company Baker Hughes is reaching beyond the oil field to a lucrative, growing market: liquefied natural gas. The Houston company recently landed deals to make turbines and other equipment for LNG export terminals planned along the Arctic Coast of Siberia, the Pacific Coast of British Colombia and the Gulf Coast of Texas. Emerson and Repsol to Form Alliance on Advanced, Cloud-Based Exploration and Development Software

Emerson.com, March 12, 2019: Emerson (NYSE: EMR), a global engineering and technology company, and Repsol, an energy company, announced today they have established a strategic alliance to deliver advanced subsurface geophysical technologies to significantly reduce the time to prospect and produce first oil. To achieve this critical industry goal, Emerson will work collaboratively with Repsol to implement and deploy advanced subsurface imaging technologies, with core technologies developed by Repsol as part of Kaleidoscope, its 10-year innovation project. These advances will be used by a broad range of the geoscience community within Repsol and in all oil and gas companies that choose to license the technologies. Gazprom's Power of Siberia gas pipeline to China is finished

Intellinews.com, March 14, 2019: Russia's state-owned gas giant Gazprom will start filling the Power of Siberia (Sila Sibiri) natural gas pipeline that connects Russia to China from September 1, Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk said in its corporate magazine on March 14, as cited by Prime. Gazprom and CNPC signed a contract worth $400bn to supply China with gas via the pipeline in 2014. Gazprom plans to provide China with 38bn cubic metres (cm) of gas per year over 30 years through the pipeline. The company will start supplies via the pipeline with 5bn cm, and the facility will reach its full capacity after several years.  Read more...

"Agro-superpower" Russia will harvest 118mn tonnes of grain in 2019, minister says

Intellinews.com, March 14, 2019: Russia will harvest no less than 118mn tonnes of grain in 2019, including 75-78mn tonnes of wheat, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev told the PRIME news outlet on March 14. "Last year the grain harvest exceeded 113mn tonnes, significantly overshooting average annual figures for the past five years. This year we may harvest at least 118mn tonnes of grain, including 75mn-78mn tonnes of wheat," he said.  Read more...
Russian Direct Investment Fund with foreign partners to invest $2.7 bln in Intergeo

Tass.com, March 14, 2019: Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) together with partners from China and the Middle East will invest 178 bln rubles ($2.7 bln) in Intergeo, a metals and mining company and part of Onexim Group owned by Mikhail Prokhorov, the Fund said in a statement on Thursday. A group of investors including the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Russia's sovereign wealth fund, the Russia-China Investment Fund and a leading Middle Eastern sovereign fund has acquired a 9.53% stake in the company. The group's investment will promote the development of the Kingash and Ak-Sug polymetallic deposits, located in Russia's Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Tyva Republic, respectively, as well as the project to construct associated infrastructure, the Fund noted.  Read more...
Opel will return to Russia with local production

Europe.autonews.com, March 14, 2019: Opel will re-enter the Russia market this year with three models, the imported Grandland X midsize crossover and two vans that will be built at PSA Group's factory Russia. "Russia is a large, strategically important and attractive market with a lot of potential," Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller said in  a press release on Thursday. Opel will start production of the midsize  Zafira Life passenger van and Vivaro Transporter commercial van, which correspond to the Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy, at PSA's factory in Kaluga, south of Moscow, in the fourth quarter.  Read more...

Realnoevremya.com, March 14, 2019: Leadership of TAIF Group and Egyptian Ambassador to Russia discussed prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Russia Mr. Ihab Ahmed Talaat Nasr has visited Tatarstan with a working trip. Appointed to this post at the end of 2017, he has come to the republic for the third time and in each of his visits actively supports even more active development of relations between Egypt and Tatarstan. The sphere of mutual interests includes trade, tourism, education and science, cultural exchange, cooperation in industry, including oil and gas processing and petrochemistry. Russian airlines' passenger numbers grew by 9.2 per cent last month

Rusaviainsider.com, March 12, 2019: According to a preliminary February traffic summary issued by Russian aviation authority Rosaviatsiya, the country's airlines collectively served 7.4 million passengers last month, up by 9.2 per cent on February 2018. RPKs increased by 11.5 per cent to 19.3 billion.  Aeroflot, the country's largest carrier, improved its operational performance by 15.7 per cent, having carried nearly 2.6 million passengers in the month. The second largest, the privately owned Sibir ( S7 Airlines), carried 744,500, a 6.1 per cent year-on-year growth. Aeroflot's low-cost carrier (LLC) subsidiary  Pobeda Airlines outperformed its sister carrier  Rossiya Airlines, both in terms of traffic and dynamics.  Read more...
Deputy tourism minister sees Russian tourist arrivals at same levels as 2018

Travelwirenews.com, March 14, 2019: Russian visitors are expected to boost Cyprus' tourist industry this summer, deputy Minister of Tourism Savvas Perdios told CNA on Wednesday.  Perdios is currently in Moscow holding meetings in the framework of the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition. He said the number of visitors from Russia this year is expected to be similar to those of last year at some 800,000, giving the sector a welcome boost given less rosy indications from Germany and the UK.Russian tour operators seem to be ready to invest, to a smaller extent, in winter tourist programmes, he added. Roscosmos and NASA discuss future of ISS, cooperation plans

Tass.com, March 14, 2019: Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin and NASA's Associate Administrator of the Human Exploration and Operations William Gerstenmaier have discussed bilateral space cooperation, including the future of the International Space Station (ISS), the Roscosmos press service told TASS on Thursday. "The conversation took place yesterday. They talked about the future of the ISS and further cooperation plans, pointing out that the NASA and Roscosmos groups continue to work and discuss cooperation and current pressing issues," the press service said.  Read more...

Opening new Azerbaijani business facilities in Russia to strengthen bilateral trade

En.trend.az, March 12, 2019: Russia isn't just the main trade partner, but the main historical partner of Azerbaijan, and that's why non-oil products are mainly exported to this country, Counselor of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia on Economic Affairs Shovgi Mehdizade said. He was speaking at the business seminar "Azerbaijan on Way to Implement Investment Projects: Possibilities of Gazprombank." He noted that Russia's major export destinations are also connected with Azerbaijan, and this is natural. Mehdizade noted that any initiative aimed at strengthening bilateral ties should be supported through the organization of similar venues for discussion.  Read more...
Pavlodar and Omsk to Strengthen Trade and Economic Cooperation
Kazakh-tv.kz, March 14, 2019: Kazakh region of Pavlodar and Russian region of Omsk have agreed to strengthen trade and economic cooperation. Head of Industrial Development Department in Pavlodar Region, Nurbolat Seytmagambetov said the two regions have planned to increase the trade turnover by 15% with Kazakhstan increasing its export to Russia. Last year the Pavlodar region recorded higher export volumes to Russia by 27% with value totaling US$1 billion. Meanwhile, almost 30% of the foreign trade turnover in Omsk is attributed to Kazakhstan.  Read more...
Russia's Rostov-on-Don shows interest in Belarusian electro-buses

Eng.belta.by, March 14, 2019: Russia's Rostov-on-Don shows interest in Belarusian electro-buses, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia. The deliveries were discussed during a meeting between the head of the Rostov-on-Don Office of the Belarusian Embassy Vladimir Neronsky and Deputy Head of the Rostov-on-Don Administration Aleksei Logvinenko and the head of foreign relations and inter-municipal cooperation Maria Krylosova and director of the land property relations Yelena Serova. В 2018 г. отгрузка амурского угля выросла на 100 тыс. т

Neftegaz.ru, 14 марта, 2019: В 2018 г. отгрузка амурского бурого  энергетического угля выросла по сравнению с 2017 г. на 100 тыс. т - до 3,5 млн. т.  Об этом сообщила пресс-служба Русского угля. Твердое топливо в Приамурье добывают на разрезах Ерковецкий и Северо-Восточный Амурского угля. Компания принадлежит входящему в группу  САФМАР М. Гуцериева федеральному холдингу Русский Уголь. На сегодняшний день запасы  бурого угля в Приамурье превышают 500 млн т. Всего в угольной отрасли на данный момент работают свыше 1700 жителей Амурской области.  Читать далее...
Россия вышла на первое место в мире по поставкам пшеницы, сообщил глава Минсельхоза РФ.

Tatar-inform.ru, 14 марта, 2019: Экспорт сельскохозяйственной продукции из России по итогам 2018 года составил 25,9 млрд долларов. Об этом сообщает РИА Новости, ссылаясь на главу Минсельхоза РФ Дмитрия Патрушева. Как отметил Дмитрий Патрушев, Россия является значимым экспортером продовольствия, вышла на первое место в мире по поставкам пшеницы. Кроме того, Россия входит в число лидеров по поставкам рыбы, подсолнечного масла, открывает и активно завоевывает новые зарубежные рынки для своей птицеводческой, молочной, кондитерской продукции и других товаров.  Читать далее...
В России оценили стоимость запасов нефти в стране

Russian.rt.com, 14 марта, 2019: Министерство природных ресурсов и экологии России впервые оценило стоимость запасов полезных ископаемых в России. Отмечается, что запасы нефти в стране оценены почти в 40 трлн рублей. Об этом сообщает РБК.  «Совокупная стоимость всех минеральных и энергетических ресурсов (нефть, газ, золото, медь, железная руда, уголь энергетический и бурый, алмазы) составила 55,2 трлн рублей, или 60% ВВП за 2017 год», - говорится в  сообщении. При этом стоимость нефти составила 39,6 трлн рублей, стоимость газа - 11,3 трлн рублей, железной руды - 808 млрд рублей, алмазов - 505 млрд рублей, золота - 480 млрд рублей.  Читать далее...
Россия наращивает экспорт рыбы в Китай, Южную Корею и Японию 

Rusexporter.ru, 14 марта, 2019: В 2018 году экспорт рыбы из России в физическом выражении вырос на 7,8% и составил 1,6 млн тонн. В стоимостном выражении экспорт достиг 2,9 млрд долларов (+22%). В 2018 году экспорт рыбы превысил импорт в 3,8 раза в физическом выражении и 2,1 раза - в стоимостном. Основной страной-импортером рыбы из России являлся Китай. По итогам 2018 года туда было отправлено 980,2 тыс. тонн (+8,3%) рыбы на сумму 1215,5 млн долларов (+31,9%). На втором и третьем месте - Южная Корея и Нидерланды. В 2018 году значительно вырос экспорт рыбы в Японию - на 25,6% в физическом выражении и на 61,3% в стоимостном.  Читать далее...
