Dean's Reception Wins Over Fall Applicants:

By Keith Weiner '82

The C|M|LAW community is second to none.  It is diverse, supportive, relevant and is weaved together with passion and commitment.  Evidence of our fine community was on display Friday, April 6 when Dean Lee Fisher and his wife, Peggy Zone Fisher, hosted a reception at their home.  The reception welcomed recently admitted applicants and encouraged those who were undecided that our school is the only choice for them.  The soon to be 1L'ers were overwhelmed with warmth and advice from current students, faculty, and alumni.  The feedback I got from those I spoke with and the conversations I overheard was consistent.  All opined that the C|M|LAW community is a fraternity that looks out for one another and where everyone feels that they are proud to be a part of a unique and special place.  The applicants all stated that no other school had a reception of this kind.  No other school reached out to them through current students, faculty and a large group of alumni just to make them feel welcome and help them decide.   Most of the applicants stated they have already committed and I believe we won those over who were on the fence before the event.  Kudos to Dean Fisher and all those who attended.  We demonstrated once again that we are diverse, supportive and relevant to all those who choose to enter the C|M|LAW community.
