Ivy Creek United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Local dancer and instructor
Adela Su will teach an Intermediate lesson in West Coast Swing from 7-8 pm, included in your admission, and then Maryland dancer and DJ
Lorenza McCann (photo courtesy of Carl Lind) will spin the tunes from 8-11 pm! Followers, LoMac is a fantastic leader so you are in for a real treat!
It's also College Night - students with ID get in for free!

Kristin's Group Dance Classes

Kristin Wenger's new session of
beginner group dance classes starts Tuesday, January 9th! The sessions are 6-weeks long with Beginner West Coast Swing from 6-7:30 pm and Beginner Nightclub 2-Step from 7:30-9 pm. Classes are held at the
Murray High School gym, where CSDS'
Swing Swap (free!) also takes place on Thursday nights. If you or your friends have been wanting to learn how to dance, this is a great and affordable way to start! This is also a great opportunity for those of you who already know how to dance one role (Leader or Follower), and want to learn the other! You can register online
here; please note that pre-registration is required and Kristin cannot accept payment in person/class. Get 2018 off to a great start by getting to dance class!

Freedom Swing Dance Event

Freedom Swing, January 12th-14th, in Claymont, DE. She's also organizing tables for the Charlottesville dancers so if you're planning to attend, let her know!

CSDS on Charlottesville Inside Out!
Remember when Terri Allard and her film crew came to our July dance and took some video and conducted interviews, for her
Charlottesville Inside Out TV show?! Season 11 begins this month, with shows airing on Thursday nights at 8:30 pm and Sunday afternoons at 12:30 pm; CSDS will be featured in the February 8th and 11th shows!! We can't wait to see it!

Adela is often the Table/Group Dinner Organizer for events attended by "C-ville Westies" (and Central VA) dancers ~ if you're planning to go to any of these or other events, let her know! And reserve your hotel room ASAP as the event hotels usually sell out well in advance; you can always cancel it later. Don't wait until you decide to go to book your room; it will be too late!
