Annual Parent Survey Deadline is Midnight Tomorrow  
You should have received an email that contained a link to our annual parent satisfaction survey. The survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. Please complete the survey (one per household) by midnight, tomorrow evening, March 13. If you did not receive the email to one of your household email addresses, contact Nathan Breinich. Claim Lost Items By This Friday
Have you  lost a jacket, lunchbox, or water bottle? We might have it in  lost and  found! All items not claimed by this Friday, March 15 will be donated to charity.

Spring Break
Spring break will be March 18-22. This Friday, March 15 is a full school day.

Report Cards
Report cards will be available in Blackbaud on the afternoon of Monday, April 1. Once they are available you will receive an email with instructions on how to access them.

Congratulations, History Bee Winners
Several of our students competed in the Regional History Bee over the weekend. Many of them advanced to Nationals! Click here t o see the full list of results.
Upper School
Junior/Senior Prom is April 6
Prom will be held on Saturday, April 6, at Twin Creeks Country Club. Tickets are $50 and may be purchased  online until March 28.

2019-2020 NHS & NJHS Applications
To apply for membership to the National Honor Society, high school students should see Mrs. Johannessen for an application packet.  Refer to the bylaws for requirements. Current 6th-8th graders wishing to apply for membership to the Junior National Honor Society should see Mrs. Horvath for their application packets. Refer to the bylaws for requirements. All applications are due by 3:45 p.m. Monday, April 8. Acceptances will be communicated by Friday, April 12.

Q3 PROPS Award Recipients
Congratulations to Upper School teachers, Ed Baptiste and Patty MacMullen. They received the PROPS award by vote from their colleagues.
College Guidance
College Day Trips
The two remaining college visits for the school year are:
  • Texas A&M: Thursday, March 28.
    Approval form due this Friday, 3:45 p.m. 
  • University of Mary Hardin-Baylor: Wednesday, April 10.

Austin National College Fair
The Austin National College Fair will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 5:30-8:00 p.m., at the Palmer Events Center. Visit the fair website for details and to pre-register.

Athlete of the Week
In her first varsity high school track meet, freshman Allison Read set a new school record in the 100m with a time of 13.0. She finished 2nd by .01 seconds. Additionally, she finished 2nd in the 200m, 4th in the 400m, and 7th in long jump. Great job, Allison!

2019-2020 High School Volleyball Meeting
Join Coach Hernandez on Wednesday, March 27 at 3:45 p.m., portable 8B for a meeting regarding next year's volleyball season. Players and one parent from each family of current 8th-11th grade girls are highly encouraged to attend.

Basketball and Volleyball Open Gym
Open gym sessions are open to all Hill Country students. Contact Leslie Glace with questions. Basketball starts Monday, March 25.
  • Current 8th-12th grade boys: Monday, Thursday and Friday, 3:45-5:00 p.m.

Lower School
Evening of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness
and Grandparents Open House
The Evening of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness and Grandparents Open House will be held this Thursday, March 14. Grandparents and grandfriends are invited at 5:30 p.m. to visit classrooms with their PK-5 grandchildren. Students who take private music lessons will perform outside the worship center while visitors view the art exhibit. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the worship center. Students should wear their "Sunday best" for this event.

Coffee with the Principal
Parents are invited to enjoy coffee and conversation with Mrs. Tracy this Friday, March 15, 8:30 a.m., room 3.228. She plans to discuss CTP-5 results and answer questions. RSVP to Sarah Bland.

Required Travel Shirts
Spring field studies are right around the corner! Travel shirts are required for all K-5th graders for field studies. Should your child need a new one, please contact  Sarah Bland.

Gifted and Talented Enrichment (GATE) Preview Night
GATE preview night is on Tuesday, March 26, 6:30-7:30 p.m., room 3.228. Join us to learn more about this great program. 

Daddy Daughter Dance Tickets On Sale
Our annual Daddy Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday, April 13, 6:00-8:00 p.m., 1st floor auditorium. All dads and daughters from PK-5th grade are invited to dance, craft, enjoy tasty desserts, capture photo booth memories, and compete in the annual hula hoop competition! Tickets are $10 per person/$40 max and are on sale through Wednesday, April 10, 7:00 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets.

Bible Bee
Students in 1st-5th grade interested in participating in an eight-week Bible Bee from June-August should contact Hill Country parent,  Mr. Shi.
Library Media Center
PreK Raise a Reader Program
The "Raise a Reader-Give me Twenty" program starts March 25 for preschool. Begin or continue a read-aloud habit with your family: 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week, for 8 weeks, from March 25-May 3. Reading logs are available from your classroom teacher.

Lower School Accelerated Reader
Quiz takers have currently read over 121,936,958 words collectively! Students are reading an astounding number of books and taking quizzes as well. Encourage your reader to keep pursuing their goals.
