A new wage increase goes into effect on July 1, 2018. The new wage for a non-tipped employee will be $12.00 per hour. The wage rate for tipped employees is linked to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and has not yet been announced. We hope this will be announced soon.

The Econonmic Census is coming next month. Companies who receive the Census are required by law to respond. Due date is June 12, 2018. The data businesses provide is compiled into official statistics that are available for companies to use for planning and decision making.
