Keith will teach the pre-dance lessons (Beginner Country 2-Step from 6:30-7:15 pm, Beginner West Coast Swing from 7:15-8 pm), included in your admission, and then will spin the tunes from 8-11 pm with our Westie Power Hour, all WCS music, from 10-11 pm!
BYOB (Bring Your Own Beginner): Bring someone new who gets in FREE for the evening and you get in for just $5!! What a bargain and what a great way to help grow our community and spread the dance love!
POTLUCK TAILGATE: Our June potluck tailgate was such a hit that we're doing it again before the lessons/dance, at 5:45 pm. Bring something to share; we'll provide the serving ware/utensils.

Kristin's WCS Group Classes
Interested in learning how to dance West Coast Swing?! Do you have friends who want to learn? Local instructor
Kristin Wenger, who has the longest running group classes, starts her Tuesday night classes on September 11th, through our community partner, the County of Albemarle Parks & Recreation Department (our generous hosts for
Swing Swap during the school year).
You can sign up
online (Kristin cannot take payment in class). Level 1 Beginner West Coast Swing is 6:00-7:30 pm and West Coast Swing New Cool Moves is 7:30-9:00 pm (you should know your basics); classes are held on Tuesday evenings at the
Murray High School gym. Any questions, contact

Adela is often the Table/Group Dinner Organizer for events attended by "C-ville Westies" (and Central VA) dancers ~ if you're planning to go to any of these or other events, let her know! And reserve your hotel room ASAP as the event hotels usually sell out well in advance; you can always cancel it later. Don't wait until you decide to go to book your room; it will be too late!
Gaia Read often organizes roadtrips from Charlottesville for the DC/MD/NoVA dances/events; contact her if you're interested in carpooling sometime.
