Call for Speakers - "Success leaves footprints at every RetailNOW!" 
RetailNOW presents a unique industry opportunity for leaders to share ideas, best practices and information with attendees in the Point-of-Sale and retail technology space. With your unique experience, passion and expertise, you could help elevate the most unique learning event in our industry. One of the hallmarks of the RSPA is benefiting from the "Community IQ." We understand the power comes from the community.

If you have passion and expertise in any of the areas noted on the Call for Speakers web-page and would be interested in leading or assisting a session, submit an application by 11:59 PM EST on April 5, 2019 to be considered for a speaking role.

Branded Content - Resource for RSPA Members
During the Inspire conference, the RSPA staff facilitated a workshop to identify what successful partnerships consist of in today's channel. The group was divided, based on their role in the channel (either reseller or vendor) and shared what is important to them and their business. The output of this workshop is an example of the real-world, RSPA community data obtained through Leadership workshops and developed to guide members in running their businesses. It allows members to reference what others in the community think about when seeking partners and how they model their business for successful partnerships. With collaborative opportunities, such as Inspire and other events, the RSPA has a unique opportunity to aggregate the data and create RSPA branded content. Check out the document Successful Partnerships in Today's Channel developed from the Inspire workshop.

Communities Corner

2019 Canadian Networking Event
The 2019 Canadian Networking Event at the Hockey Hall of Fame on February 25th was a very successful event! With 149 registrations, vendors and resellers participated in a great networking event with some news from the retail council of Canada Michael Leblanc. The Canadian Community plans to carry the well-presented and received message across the country to the 2nd in-country event.

On Monday, April 1, 2019, join the RSPA Canadian Community and Michael Leblanc from the Retail Council of Canada for another great Canadian Networking Event in Vancouver, BC. Michael will provide updates and projected changes of the retail industry that can affect our industry. Don't miss out, register today!

We challenge YOU to get involved! 
The RSPA and the W2W Community are encouraging more women to get involved with the Association and attend RSPA events. Lindsey Buckley of the W2W and NextGEN Communities is one good example of who we encourage to get involved. 

As Lindsey says, "I am a RSPA unicorn. You are probably sitting at your computer reading this and thinking, "what in the world does that mean?" Well, let me tell you. I am a woman and I am under the age of 30, so therefore I am a RSPA unicorn. I have been fortunate to attend 4 Inspires and over 5 RetailNOWs as a 28-year-old woman and year in, year out, I am one of the few women, and typically the youngest person in the room. To me, that is incredibly empowering, but also frustrating. How are we in the year 2019, and we aren't empowering more women to be involved in the industry and the association? I challenge you to think about the Next Generation of your business and how you can encourage more women to not only learn about this amazing industry but challenge them to become active in the RSPA!"

NextGEN Rising Star Grant 
We're proud to announce the NextGEN Rising Stars Grant. This grant is designed to recognize and reward individuals who display the qualities you'd like see in our industry's next leaders. Awarded yearly to five of our industry's brightest new stars, grant winners will be given an all-expense paid trip to Inspire 2020 where they can experience the show's exceptional networking opportunities and top-notch education courses.

Security Tip
Good password management can be overwhelming as we all have hundreds of passwords that must be carefully secured and maintained. There are lots of options today for password management tools like LastPass and Keepass. Find a tool that works for your business and then empower your team to use it. Make sure that passwords aren't being stored unencrypted in text files and never reuse passwords for different accounts or between customers.
