Improving Your Hearing Screening and Follow-up Practices: Webinar for Experienced Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) Screeners

In this intermediate-level webinar, Early Head Start and Head Start (EHS/HS) staff who are already conducting OAE screening will have a chance to take a closer look at effective screening and follow-up practices.  Participants will learn more about improving screening skills and adhering to a follow-up protocol that are essential to implementing evidence-based practices. 

Topics addressed during the webinar include:

  • Obtaining a good probe fit
  • Strategies for screening young children
  • Scenarios illustrating use of a follow-up protocol
  • Online resources to support screening and follow-up
  • Questions from participants

Who Should Attend?

EHS/HS program staff who have experience conducting OAE hearing screening and want to review and improve their current screening and follow-up practices.
