Your gifts to this year's "Healing Communities"-themed America for Christ Offering allow ABHMS to undergird those who minister to the lost, hurt and downtrodden, offering healing for today and hope for tomorrow.
On behalf of American Baptist Churches USA, ABHMS has released $15,000 in One Great Hour of Sharing Emergency Disaster-relief funds in response to the California wildfires.
A review of restoration efforts as part of ABHMS' "Rebuilding, Restoring, Renewing Puerto Rico" initiative was provided to an American Baptist delegation that recently traveled to the island.
At its November meeting, ABHMS' board of directors unanimously elected these
new members: the Rev. Yamina Apolinaris, the Rev. Dr. Mia Chang, the Rev. Corey Fields and Quinton Roman Nose.
"We open these doors in a spirit of Christian friendship and welcome to all," said the Rev. Dr. Clifford I. Johnson, board president, as he
cut the ribbon at ABHMS' new building in November.

First Baptist Church, Saratoga Springs, N.Y., to expand ministry to various populations, including survivors of intimate partner violence.
