Arjay is a many time swing Champion whose entire life has been dedicated to the exploration of art and music. For 17 years Arjay toured the world as a classical violinist before traveling the world as a dance professional. He studied music and also graduated with a degree in Art and Graphic Design, a passion he shares with his wife. Searching for more in music and the arts, Arjay pursued his hobby and love of dance and turned it into a successful career. There are not many dances Arjay doesn't know. He currently travels the world performing, teaching, choreographing, judging, mentoring dancers as well as deejaying and emceeing some of the biggest events in the world.
Arjay says, "Dance to me is about personal growth, inspiring others, developing perspective and insight through artistic expression, establishing an internal connection as well as creating memorable experiences. Through performance, teaching, social dancing and mentoring I am committed to artistic excellence as well as to promote positivity, creativity, musicality, expression and the longevity of our craft. My students' experience in all types of dance is important to me and I hope to be a part of them experiencing dance in their lives in the most positive and joyful way." Stacy's Jam ~ Last Dance!
Stacy and Sue Suter are holding their
last Stacy's Jam dance on Saturday, April 14th! They write:
"It is with mixed feelings that my wife Susan and I have decided that April 14, 2018 will be the final Stacy's Jam Dance Party in Charlottesville. We have been so blessed to host Stacy's Jam Dance Party for 16 years and 130 dances. We have thoroughly enjoyed sharing our love for dancing through music, teaching, and social dancing. Thanks to all of you (dancers and instructors) for supporting our dance for so many years. We have thoroughly enjoyed the close friendships in the local dance community as well as meeting new dancers from all over the country. It has been a privilege to share in many of your personal lives including new romances, weddings, children, illness, and unfortunate loss. We have no definite plans after our last dance but look forward to social dancing at other local dances and possibly teaching and DJing when the opportunity arises. Come join us at our Last Dance and help us celebrate 16 years of Stacy's Jam Dance Party."
We hope you will all come out on April 14th, especially dancers from the Maxx and Fry's Springs days, to celebrate Stacy and Sue and all they've done for the Charlottesville dance community!
