CPCFRO is an athletics program within District 102 that gives 5th and 6th graders of ALL skill
levels the opportunity to participate in Volleyball and Basketball in a fun and structured environment.
Our goal is to teach children the basic rules, skills, and strategies of each sport with an emphasis on
teamwork. Many children who play in CPCFRO have never played these sports beyond recess or gym. Teams
are formed by elementary school, with a skill assessment at each school to ensure balanced teams. While we
keep score during the game, we do not keep track of wins/losses in order to maintain the instructional focus
of the program.
Teams are coached by parent volunteers, and refereed by certified referees. Teams play 7-8 games a season.
Games will be played on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Game times can start at 6, 7, or 8 pm. The game
schedule is created randomly. Practice times, if any, are determined by the coach, Monday - Thursday.
Coaches Needed!
This is a great opportunity to coach your son or daughter! You schedule practices at your convenience. If you
have never coached, no problem...you can seek out a neighbor/friend as a co-coach, or we can match you up
with another parent at your home school. There is an option to volunteer when you register your kids to
play.
