Sunrise Mass by Ola Gjeilo
Next Sunday October 28, 4:00 p.m.
The St Francis Choir invites you for an Evensong Service filled with beautiful music! Our choir and a small orchestra will lead the service. This is a lovely service to share with friends. No admission charge, a free-will offering will be received. Contact Jeannie Cobb for more information: jeannie.cobb@stfrancispalosverdes.org
All Saints—Honor Your Loved Ones
All Saints Day—Sunday, November 4.
Please send names by 3pm Tuesday October 30.
Please send names of your loved ones who have died in
the last 12 months to Paula+ so they can be included in

Welcome conversation!
Sunday November 4, 9:15-9:30 am, Rev. Paula's Office; 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Board Room
If you have recently started coming to St. Francis (or are even just considering the possibility), please come by for this informal conversation over coffee, so we can answer any questions you have about St. Francis, and also share with you ways to feel more connected to what God is doing in and through this community.
Habitat For Humanity
Saturday, November 10, 8:00 to 3:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch provided. 15 volunteers needed, plus donations for donor brick wall
Once again, God’s people are in need of a good carpenter. St. Francis is very excited to be joining together again with Habitat For Humanity to help build a home for a family in need. Please come be a part of this wonderful event or make a donation to support our Build Day. No construction experience is necessary. The only requirement is a desire to help make a difference in the lives of others.
To fund our Build Day, the St. Francis community is pledging $2,500 to Habitat For Humanity. Please consider making a donation to this very worthy cause. To help fund raise, the St. Francis community will present the family that will live in the house with an artistic "brick wall". Each brick in this wall will contain the name of a St. Francis donor. Br icks can be purchased for $50. Checks should be made payable to “St. Francis Church” with Habitat for Humanity in the memo section. Please contact Mike Spalding to sign up, or with any questions at (310) 897-3097.
Military Outreach Packing
Sunday, November 11, at 11:30 a.m., Parish Hall. Snacks and water will be served.
St Francis helps to support the Military and their families with care packages, and prayer. Many of those who serve never receive packages from home, so these are truly special for them. Please look out in church for the list of items to donate. And thank you! Questions? Contact Susie Zimmerman.
Sages on the Go
On Thursday, October 18, at 10:30 a.m. our Sages (Senior Adult Group of Episcopalians) will receive a docent led private tour of the Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum, a Registered National and California Historic Landmark. This promises to be a great tour as we learn about early California history as it relates to the Dominguez family, their homestead adobe, and the Rancho San Pedro, the first Spanish land grant in California. We will meet at 10:15in the parking lot at the museum: 18127 S. Alameda Street, Rancho Dominguez, CA. Carpools encouraged. The tour should conclude by 11:30 a.m., and we will follow with a group picnic on the grounds. Lunch will be provided! Sign up in the church office or rsvp to Hank.
