Celebrate FCS Awareness Day on November 2nd
Please join us in celebrating and raising awareness for Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome, better known as FCS. FCS is a rare genetic condition that causes a buildup of triglycerides in the blood that can increase the risk of severe abdominal pain and potentially fatal attacks of pancreatitis. Please join us in recognizing the need for new therapies, better quality of life, and a cure for all pancreas diseases. In the month of November, we will feature stories about patients with various forms of pancreas disease.

November is Pancreas Disease Awareness Month
|
|
For the month of November, we will be featuring stories and posting about pancreas disease to bring awareness to the forefront. Pancreatitis is considered an orphan and rare disease, but each year, about 275,000 hospital stays for acute pancreatitis occur in the United States.* Pancreatic Cancer remains one of the top 5 deadliest cancers. November 15th is World Pancreatic Cancer Day. On this day, the NPF, a member of the
World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition
, along with other organizations aim to light the world purple and bring awareness.
