Greetings St. Francis School Parents and Guardians,

Thanksgiving has a very special place in my heart. It is a time when we gather with family and friends to focus on giving thanks for our blessings. No fanfare, no gifts, no glitz. Plenty of great food, drink, family, friends, and football.

At St. Francis of Assisi School, there is much to be thankful for. Last week, I had a very unique and moving experience when two students, brother and sister, came to my office with their parents with a special gift.  As a way of expressing their own gratitude for their education at SFA, they had requested from friends and family that in lieu of birthday gifts, they were asking for donations to the building project at SFA. They proudly presented me with a check in the amount of $800 for the Campaign for SFA!
I was truly touched by their generous hearts and giving spirit. They had learned about the project from their parents who attended an information event last spring, made their own generous donation, and more importantly, taught their children the true meaning of stewardship - which is our calling as Christ's followers to share God's blessings for His glory.

Additionally, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to say thank you for your partnership, kindness and generosity.  Our students are thoughtful, compassionate and curious learners. Each student in his/her unique way contribute to what makes St. Francis of Assisi School an amazing place to be.  Thank you for sharing your children with us. We are fortunate to be part of their formative journey as together, we build a community for our students to believe in their boundless potential.

Blessings to you and your family as we prepare for the Advent season and the birth of our Lord.
