Thank you to everyone who donated to the food drive throw down. We greatly appreciate your generosity!  We were able to collect 4,700 items to be given to the Urbandale Food Pantry.  Thank you to Hy-Vee and Walmart for letting us host this event at their Windsor Heights store locations. Thank you to the Windsor Heights Police and Fire Department. If you missed this event this year, don't worry, it will come back next year! You can also donate year around to Urbandale Food Pantry.

Small Business Administration offers low-interest federal disaster loans
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest federal disaster loans to Iowa businesses and residents affected by the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding that occurred June 6 - July 2, 2018. SBA acted under its own authority to declare a disaster following the denial of the state's appeal for a major disaster declaration on Dec. 5, 2018. The disaster declaration makes SBA assistance available in Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Polk, Story and Warren counties in Iowa. Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at  https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela. The deadline to apply for property damage is Feb. 11, 2019. The deadline to apply for economic injury is Sept. 11, 2019.
