Dear WES Families,

Governor Hogan announced today that Maryland Public Schools will remain closed through May 15. In an effort to align with our local leaders and public health officials, distance learning at WES will extend through at least May 15 as well.

We deeply miss seeing each one of our Dragons, but we feel this is the right decision to protect the health and safety of the WES Family as well as the broader community at large. We know springtime holds many important traditions for our school, and we are actively investigating how to celebrate appropriately while still following public health guidelines.

As we are continuing forward with distance learning, we want to ask you once again for your feedback. We made some adjustments to the WES Distance Learning Plan since our first week, and we invite you to take this brief survey now and let us know your thoughts.

On a lighter note, this weekend marks the one-month anniversary of our fantastic production of Frozen Jr . We would like to invite you to a watch party we are holding via our Facebook page tomorrow night, April 18, at 7 p.m. This is one lighthearted way we can celebrate our students and our community during these unique circumstances.

As always, I am inspired by the strength, resilience, and compassion of the WES Family. Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Sincerely,
Danny Vogelman
