Town information for the holiday season 
On behalf of all of us at the Town of Oakville, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season. 

Please note that Town Hall will be closed from December 21 to January 2, but all online services will be available.

During the holidays, town staff will continue to ensure that snow plows and salt trucks are prepared for any weather activity. Real-time snow clearing updates are available through our PlowOakville interactive map.

To report emergencies related to roads, traffic lights and signs, parks, trees or flooding, call 905-845-6601 to be connected with our afterhours service.
Upcoming events and other information
Hydro line clearing in wards 1 & 2

Starting in January, we'll be pruning trees around hydro lines to ensure safe clearance and minimize safety hazards and power outages on behalf of Oakville Hydro. The program runs within wards 1 and 2 this year. Residents are invited to our open house on Tuesday, January 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Queen Elizabeth Park Cultural and Community Centre to learn more. 
Cannabis retail vote in January 

Council has until January 22 to decide to opt-out or permit cannabis retail stores in town and are looking for feedback from residents between now and the January 14 Planning and Development Council Meeting when they will debate and decide on the issue. Share your thoughts by emailing feedback to the Town Clerk or attend the January 14 Council meeting in person at the Halton Regional Centre  at 1151 Bront e Road.

New Year's Levee on January 6

Mayor Burton and Council invite you and your family to join them at the New Year's Levee on Sunday, January 6. Festivities take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in the South Atrium at Town Hall. The  event will feature light refreshments, brief remarks from the Mayor and musical performances from the Oakville Choir for Children & Youth and the Wind Quintet from the Oakville Chamber Orchestra.
