President's Letter
As we come to the last holiday season of this year, I can't help but reflect on all of the blessings around me. The Wisconsin Family Child Care Board of Directors have been wonderful people to work with and truly care about one another. It's amazing to see them work so diligently on making events go so smoothly and have the best intentions when trying to do what is best for the child care professionals around our state.  My family is the best! I'm sure that everyone says that...but, with every stage of raising kids, it comes with its own blessings, adjustments and challenges. Both of my kids are at the last stage of being raised by my husband and myself and I could not be prouder of who they've become. And, now that it is starting to shift from raising kids back to dating my husband, that has its blessing of discovering new and fun adventures together again. As for my business, I have great families to work with and great kids to share my days with. I hope each of you can reflect on this year and find the good in what it has blessed you with as well!
In 2019, the WFCCA Board Members have some great things in store for you. I hope that you can join in one or all of our events in order to rejuvenate yourself, find peer support, and learn something new along the way. I want to encourage you to think about the important jobs that we all do with young children, and know that the board is eager to support in any advocacy issues that you may have. Every region is different, and have your own issues, so please let us help. We also have some great programs offered around the state to help grow you as a professional, so if you have any questions about any of them, feel free to ask. Our board has YEARS of experience, so if one doesn't know, we can all reach out to one another that may know the answer that you are looking for.
Have a wonderful and blessed holiday season! I look forward to seeing you soon in 2019.
