Greetings Members,
Since our last newsletter, we have welcomed some new Members to the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce. Please stop into Automotive Detailing Professionals on Brown Ave to welcome Keith Haskell to the Chamber. We also welcome Kristin Fox at Pippi Lane Boutique on 4th St SW. Pippi Lane features fresh, fun, and fashion forward clothing and accessories. Longtime business Quality Print has joined our ranks too. Curtis, Cory, and Justine are always eager to make your imagination become a reality. We also welcome Ace Hardware into the Chamber. Al Kingsley and crew are delivering the same great service we are all accustomed to at our local hardware stores. Midwest Hemp Farms, is not only new to the Chamber, but also new to Waseca and new to the agricultural industry. Matt and Garth always welcome inquiry’s into what their business means for pain management. Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm is a unique asset to Waseca. Emily Knudsen and Bill Bartz have really built up something special. Please check out the Chamber website for more information about our new members!
October is proving to be a busy month for Waseca. Cashwise opened their doors on the 17th and will have their official Grand Opening in the 25th at 11am. They have their Chamber membership in process and are ready to dive into Waseca. One of their core values is community involvement. Look for them to be a thoughtful corporate citizen.
Also on October 25th, The Chamber will be recognizing our Business of the Year at the annual Business and Industry Luncheon. It is an honor to name Sportsman Stop as the Business of the year. Jay and Nancy Nicolin have been humble about how important they are to Waseca. Please join us for the noon luncheon and program at Lakeside Golf & Country Club.
And if the 25th wasn’t crazy enough, Treats on the Streets is downtown from 5-7. You can contact me at ann@wasecachamber.com if your organization wants to participate or you simply need additional information. There is no registration cost to participate in this event.
On Monday October 22nd, join the Waseca Community Arena and Waseca Hockey Association in celebrating the Arena’s 25th Anniversary. Stop by from 4:30 to 6:30 and see how the arena has evolved over the last quarter century.
But that’s not all folks! Let’s not forget about the Opportunity Zones Workshop on October 30th from 10 to noon at the 3rd Floor of the Miller Armstrong Building. Email Gary Sandholm at the City of Waseca, garys@ci.waseca.mn.us to register for this free workshop.
I know we are nearing and end of the road construction. Our citizens and businesses have been extremely patient during this long process. The substantial completion date is November 15th, we will all remain cautiously optimistic.
Remember, that as a benefit of your membership, we will put your events on the Chamber’s Calendar of Events. Simply email your event details to info@wasecachamber.com and we will take care of it for you. The WACC has the only comprehensive events calendar in the community. We’re kind of a big deal.
Thank you for your continued support of the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce! You are all part of what makes Waseca successful.
Best Regards,
Ann Fitch
