October Mission Offering | Fighting Hunger in Malawi
At the close of worship last Sunday, Plymouth Church shared what we have. People emptied their wallets, wrote checks, texted gifts, scribbled IOUs and cared for hungry people.
Our goal for World Hunger Sunday was $5,000. So far we have given $7,315.
You can be part of this important project. We will continue to receive world hunger gifts the next two Sundays during worship. You can also
make a gift online or text PLYMOUTH Hunger and the gift amount to 73256.
About 2.8 million people are experiencing hunger in Malawi due to the devastating effects climate change has had on harvests over the past decade.
Plymouth Church is partnering with Heifer International’s Sustainable Agriculture Lead Farmer Program to help 24,000 smallholder farmers, half of whom are women, in Lilongwe, Malawi to combat hunger.
