It's late October and pretty soon we will once again be adjusting all the clocks in our offices and homes. The phrase may be 'spring forward, fall back' but with the recent arrival of autumn, it's been all about moving forward here at CIFST.
In the next month or so, you will be receiving an electronic notice reminding you that it is time again to renew your CIFST membership. This will be the first time we undertake our membership renewal process completely digitally. I encourage you to renew your membership as early as possible in order to take advantage of some of the tremendous benefits we have in store for you in 2019.
This includes the launch of our exciting new national
Mentorship Program
that we are now starting to promote and piece together. This exciting pilot program will offer 'flash mentoring' opportunities for younger CIFST members working in the food and beverage sector. Those interested in signing up to be part of the program as one of our mentors should see the link to put your name forth in the

section below.
Of course, your 2019 membership will also include discounted rates to CIFST Section-specific and National events, including the
2019 National Conference
, which is scheduled to take place on Canada's east coast in May. You can find further details on this below as well.
