Moderator Cheryl Brown, Davis, Agnor, Rapaport, & Skalny, LLC will lead the discussion with panelists including Delegate Vanessa Atterbeary, Senator Gail Bates, Delegate Terri Hill, Christopher Summers, Founder and President, Maryland Public Policy Institute, Ruth Toomey, Executive Director, Maryland Tourism Coalition and Cailey Locklair Tolle, President of the Maryland Retail Association.

Attendees will also be the first to have access to our 2019 Legislative Issues Brief in which we outline the issues and legislation we believe to be of priority and importance to the business community both locally and statewide.

Executive Kittleman Launches Rt. 1 Corridor Master Plan

This week, Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman announced the launch of the Rt. 1 Corridor Master Plan, an effort that includes transportation, infrastructure, land use and economic development strategies to improve vibrancy and quality of life aspects throughout the Rt. 1 corridor.

Location Changed for Ellicott City Watershed Master Plan Workshop

Due to overwhelming response, the location for the final public workshop on the Ellicott City Master Plan on October 25 has been changed. The workshop will now be held in the Banneker Room of the George Howard Building, 3430 Court House Drive in Ellicott City, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

4th Annual Howard Co. Veterans Day Parade Looking For Vendors 

The Columbia Association, Howard County Veterans Foundation and the Howard County Office of Veterans and Military Families are looking for vendors, food trucks and participants for the upcoming 4th Annual Howard County Veterans Day Parade to be held on Sunday, November 11th at 9:30AM from Merriweather Post Pavilion to the future site of the Howard County Veterans Monument at Lake Kittamaqundi.

Do you know someone who creates, teaches or supports the arts in Howard County and deserves to be recognized for their contributions to the community? Nominate them for the Howard County Arts Council's 2018 Howie Awards for Outstanding Artist, Outstanding Arts Educator or Outstanding Arts Supporter (Business or Individual).
