Creating the most livable town in Canada
Our 2017 Accomplishments brochure highlights the great work done in the last year to achieve the goals and key actions set out in Council's 2015-2018 Strategic Plan.

"In Oakville, Council and I make decisions that align with our vision to be Canada's most livable town - and each year, we find ourselves living that vision more and more," Mayor Rob Burton said. "Together, we work to ensure Oakville remains the friendly, green and livable town that our residents are proud to call home. I am proud of the many accomplishments we have achieved in 2017, and look forward to many more in the years to come."

Upcoming events and other information

Track your plow with PlowOakville

Staying up-to-date on the town's snow clearing progress has never been easier! Real-time snow clearing updates are available through our  PlowOakville  interactive map. Using GPS technology, the map tracks the progress of town plows as they clear the roads during a snow event. We aim to have all roads cleared within 24 hours of a storm, however heavy snowfalls and successive storms may extend this period.
Celebrate Black History Month

Visit Oakville Museum to discover artifacts, pictures and a documentary telling the stories of the many African-American families who settled in Oakville and helped develop our community. While you're there, don't miss T he Underground Railroad Next Stop, Freedom!
presentation that tells the true story of Deborah Brown's  heroic flight from a life of slavery in Maryland to a new life of freedom in 19th-century Toronto.
