Prayer Workshop
Sunday September 30, Board Room after both services
Do you ever wonder why Deacon Celeste stands in the baptistry during the 8:00 a.m. Eucharist? Or what goes on in the Nason Chapel (i.e., the step-up space to the right of the communion rail) during the 10:00 a.m. service)? (Answer:  Intercessory Prayer!).
Are you curious about prayer? How we pray? Why we do it? What is the goal? If so, then come join Paula+ and Pastoral Care Shepherd, Kristina Pelá, in the Board Room, for a workshop to be held after both services on Sunday, September 30, to learn more about connecting with God in this way.

15 volunteers needed, plus donations for donor brick wall

Please come be a part of this wonderful event or make a donation to support our Build Day. No construction experience is necessary. The only requirement is a desire to help make a difference in the lives of others.

To help fund raise, the St. Francis community will present the family that will live in the house with an artistic "brick wall". Each brick in this wall will contain the name of a St. Francis donor. Br icks can be purchased for $50. Checks should be made payable to “St. Francis Church” with Habitat for Humanity in the memo section. Bishop's Tea here at St Francis Saturday, October 13, 3 – 5 p.m.
It is through prayers and gifts that we support our seminarians today, and provide for the church’s priests and bishops of tomorrow. Some of the seminarians are married, with families, and some are older and have left business positions. Some are young people without sufficient means to complete their studies. Traditionally, the annual Tea and Garden Party is the major fundraising event of the year. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the Seminarians as guests of the Bishop’s Guild.St. Francis Episcopal Church Women (ECW) is pleased to host the event this year in partnership with the diocesan ECW Board.
Cost for the Tea is $25 per person paid before October 8, $30 at the door.
