CCI Health Plan Name Changes
Two CCI health plans will change their names for 2019. Effective January 1, 2019 Care1st Health Plan's name is changing to Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan. Also, effective January 1, CareMore is changing its name to Anthem Blue Cross.
CMS Cal MediConnect Evaluation Report
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released its first formal evaluation report of the Cal MediConnect (CMC) demonstration. The report examines the CMC demonstration's implementation and analyzes the program's impact on beneficiary experience, quality, utilization and cost from April 1, 2014 through December 2016. CMC Focus Group Findings
In July 2018, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) conducted 10 targeted focus groups of Cal MediConnect enrollees. Researchers interviewed 68 participants from Los Angeles and San Mateo counties, including Spanish-language beneficiaries and beneficiaries who use Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS). Click here to read the Cal MediConnect focus groups summary report. 
CMS Flu Campaign
On December 5, 2018, t he Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) promoted the Flu Day of Action.  Share the message that getting an annual flu vaccination is important for beneficiaries and their families, care providers, and community members. Read more on the Flu Day of Action here .
